Patchwork Handbag - Morrison Park

Hello! It's my turn on the Morrison Park Tour and I'm so excited to share my latest project using the lovely collection Morrison Park by talented Pat Sloan for Bernartex Fabric. I made a Patchwork Bag to highlight colorful prints from the collection. Morrison Park is fun and vibrant with beautiful paisley prints, florals, and dots and geometrics to pull it all together. The color combos are amazing.

For the bag, I used classic wooden handles to soften the patchwork design. I used a quilt as you go method for each patchwork, quilting random lines. I wanted to highlight the blue dots with subtle lines in the large front pocket, as this was my favorite print from the collection. It really brings all the florals and paiselys together. There are also side pockets to hold water bottles and such. The bag is pretty big, so it can hold all your favorite things and more!

Here's what I made:

Lastly, there is an awesome giveaway posted on my Instagram - Creamcraft Goods, so check it out to enter. Pat is kind enough to give away a 10" stack from Morrison Park, plus a Benartex Fat Quarterly Club newsletter with Charm Pack for US Residents only. Check my Instagram for all the details.

Morrison Park is out soon, so check your favorite quilt /fabric shops!

Thanks for stopping by!
