Hello spring! Good-bye winter! Well, not really, but where I am it sure feels like it! It especially feels like spring with this playful fabric "Play Outside" by Gracey Larson (of the fabulous blog Burlap and Blossoms) for Riley Blake Designs. Gracey makes the sweetest quilt patterns and also has a book out. This is her debut collection for Riley Blake and it's fabulous! I love the fun color palette, whimsy butterflies, and ditsy florals.
I decided to make a strip type, two-way tote (because why not have it multi functional and fun!). I thought it would be a playful spin on this playful fabric.
Here's what I made:
Play Outside is out now, so check your local quilt/fabric shop or online!
Thanks!

Hello! Let me introduce you to some cute fabric - Hubert and Sorrel by Simone Gooding (an awesome illustrator and designer who I admire so much) for Riley Blake Designs. Simone designs the cutest animal friends and also has patterns out and a book if you ever fancy making her furry little friends. I had to make something cute for this piggy duo. The fabric definitely tells a story of friendship and hobbies, so I wanted to showcase that with my project.
I'm still on my organization kick from the start of the New Year, so for this project, I made an Everything Caddy. This caddy can hold all your hobbies tools and anything cute really. I added multiple pockets inside and out and finished it off with a leather handle anchored with rivets to make it sturdy so you can carry it everywhere easily. It's also reversible! So, you can flip it if you want a change of scenery!
Here's what I made:
I hope you enjoyed this project. It is one of my favorite makes. Hubert and Sorrel should be arriving in stores soon so check your local fabric store or online.
Thanks! See you at the next project!
