Majestic for Riley Blake Designs

Hello and Happy Friday! It's been such a beautiful week and I'm ending it with these pretty pillows I made with Majestic Fabric by Gerri Robinson of Planted Seed Designs for Riley Blake Fabric. Gerri makes the prettiest quilt patterns and lovely fabrics and its been such a treat to create with Majestic! This line is stunning. It has beautiful grays, navy blue, the perfect blush color, and whites to anchor.

I didn't realize how well it would work in my bedroom, but it paired perfectly with my farmhouse bed and blush linen duvet. I wanted to use classic designs with modern lines. I used The Quilt Block Cookbook by Amy Gibson for block inspiration. I used some of her blocks and modified them to suit the design of my bedroom (and my husband's tastes.

Here is what I made:

Shortcake for Riley Blake Designs

Hello first day of Spring! Sadly, it's going to rain today, but this Shortcake bag I made will brighten your day! I made the bag using the sweetest fabric line called Shortcake by Heidi Mutt (of the blog Fabric Mutt - she has great tutorials, books, and cuteness) for Riley Blake Designs. It's full of jam jars, strawberry baskets, orchard fruits, gingham, stripes, and of course sweet florals! So sweet,  bright, nostalgic, and cute! I just want to take this fabric with me on a picnic!

I wanted to make the bag with fruit baskets in mind, so I definitely wanted something boxy. I hope I achieved that!

Here's what I made:

Someday for Riley Blake Designs

Hello! The little place I live thinks it's Spring, so I've been making things with flowers and prettiness in mind! I made a pretty Travel Bag using the prettiest fabric called Someday by Minki Kim (Minki is the author of Sew Illustrated, go check her blog out, you won't be disapointed!) for Riley Blake Designs. Someday has the prettiest florals, memories printed in text, and the cutest illustrations (which Minki is the best at!).

I was inspired to make a Travel Bag as it's almost travel time for many families going on Spring Break. Sadly I'm not travelling anytime soon (twin toddlers are a nightmare to travel with!, but Someday (pun intended). I'll just dream of faraway places with my bag (hehe).

Here is what I made. Sidenote - I was so happy to finally use my bike! Haven't ridden it in probably five years and the tires were flat hehe, but makes for a great photoshoot!! Enjoy!

I used faux leather handles in blush. I got them from Japan five years ago when I last travelled there. The brand is Inazuma.

Pockets are my everything when I carry or make bags, so I added an essential pocket on the outside, deep enough to hold a small tablet, book, phone, keys, etc..
