Jacks Tool Bag - CAT Licensed Fabric for Riley Blake Designs

Hello and Happy Fall. I'm sure all of us are over summer and long for cooler days and nights. We are only months away from Christmas now and I got present making on my mind. I made Jack a tool bag and naptime quilt (although he may use it as a giant play mat for lining up his trucks) using the coolest boy fabric ever - CAT Licensed for Riley Blake Designs. Jack was totally fan boy when he saw the bag! Christmas is coming early on my household hehe! He's already filling it will all his excavators, steam rollers, cement trucks, you name it, this little three year old has it.

If you are looking for construction truck fabric, this is the one guys. It's real life drawings and color combos are amazing. The real life picture panel of the excavator is so cool and makes for easy quilt/gift making.

Here is what I made. Enjoy! Jack did!

I put plenty pockets for all his tools and toys. The top sides fold down, making for a boxy, roomy toy tool bag!

It folds out to tote bag form as well.

Sharing is caring
Rosalie is a wee bit jealous. I guess I will have to make her one.

Here is the naptime quilt I made for Jack. This real life panel is amazing. Jack absolutely loves it. I'm sure he will be lining up all his construction truck on this.

CAT is soon to arrive, so check your local quilt shop or online!

Thanks and see you soon!

Jack's Toy Car Box - Cops and Robbers for Riley Blake Designs

As with every other little three year old boy out there, my Jack is obsessed with cars, trucks, buses, basically anything with wheels. I always look for solutions to store the hundreds of wheelies that I step on almost everyday. So, decided to make him a toy box with a playmat using Cops and Robbers by Shawn Wallace of Doodle Girl  for Riley Blake Designs. It's always a treat when boy fabric is made! Cops and Robbers is awfully cute and Jack was so excited when I showed him his box!

Here is what I made:

The box opens on the top and the front folds out to reveal a playmat. Perfect little road for Jacks wheelies!

Jack is already enjoying the box. I hope he actually maintains the cars inside when he's done playing!

Cops and Robbers is available now, so check your local quilt shop or online!

Thanks!

Everyday Bag - Paper Daisies for Riley Blake Designs

I hope you all had a wonderful 3-day weekend (Labor Day here in the States). I just came back from a 3-day trip to Disneyland, so to say I'm exhausted is laughable, I'm a zombie! I was able to get this purse done before my mini vacation, but the pictures I admit were taken when I returned, so yes I'm on Zombie mode.

I wanted to use the bag while I was at Disneyland, but I didn't want to get it dirty before my mini photoshoot, so it stayed safely in my sewing room. It's nice to come home from the chaos of lines, heat, and toddler lalapoolza, to something pretty waiting for me at home. Paper Daisies by Sue Daley for Riley Blake Designs is that - pretty and beautiful. I wanted to make yes another bag, but something useful in size and shape, but with pretty designs. I'm still hung up on Dresdens (I don't think I'll ever get over making these), so the perfect way to showcase a beautiful line is with patchwork and Dresdens!
