Gone Camping for Riley Blake - Scout Bag

Summer is almost upon us which means it's hot as heck in Southern California, kids are out of school, and summer vacations begin. Before I had my twin toddlers, my husband and I would go camping in the summer. They're still to young to camp, but my cute niece, who is turning 12, is camping all summer with her sister and dad as a fun adventure! Gone Camping by Echo Park Paper Co. for Riley Blake Designs is perfect for a handmade adventure! It has cute nostalgic ads, plaids, fish prints, and just the right amount of accents to make a cute bag!

I decided to make her a Scout Bag, so she can hold all her important things such as a book, water bottle, bug spray and sunscreen, phone of course (for pics right?), and I also made a coordinating pouch for a first aid kit, and for whatever else a tween wants to take with them camping!

Here's what I made:

I added a front zippered pocket so she can hold a small notebook and pen to maybe sketch or write about her fun adventures!

You can even fit a Traveler's Notebook if you want!

Here is the coordinating first aid pouch I made:

The fish print is my fav!

I hope you enjoyed my Scout Pouch. I have yet to make a pattern, so I appreciate your patience as it is my big summer project to come out with my first series of patterns.

Gone Camping fabric is out now, so check out your local fabric store or online to purchase!

See you on the next project!

Thanks,

Karen
